How to Remove Tags

You can do this from the Bulk Edit Tags Section of the app. You can do so be either using the Remove Tags functionality or the Edit Tags Based On Specific Text functionality. Below is a breakdown of how they each work and when they might be suitable to use. 

Remove Tags

This option is useful if  you only have a few specific tags tags that you want to remove.  All you have to do is: 

1.   Enter the tags you want to delete in the text box. You can enter multiple tags at once as once as they are separated by commas.
Please note: These can be tags applied to either products, customers or orders. 

2. Save your changes. 

Edit Tags Based On Specific Text

If you're looking to delete a large number of similar tags (for example quantity tags applied to products variants) it will be easier to use this functionality. Edit Tags Based on Specific Text allows you to add or remove tags where any of the product fields, including the title or description, contain specific text. Here's how you can do this: 

1. Enter the word, words or phrase that you want to filter by in the text box. Please note: the text is not case sensitive.

2. Select the match type. The text you entered can help you select tags where the words match exactly, tags that that contain all of the words you entered or tags that contain at least one of the words entered.

3. Select Remove Existing Tag.

4. Save your changes. 

Please note: This functionality is only available for Product Tags. We are looking to extend this functionality to Customer and Order tags as well. 

Schedule Changes (optional)

As always, if you don't want your changes to take place straight away, you can schedule these using a date and time selector. Please make sure to set the date and time before you Save.
