Tagging couriers and distributors

When building it, we felt this functionality of the app would be particularly useful for local delivery businesses to have a way of tagging and better organising the delivery people or the couriers completing orders.
You can apply these tags based either on the order address or the date and time and while it was built with the purpose of the tag itself being the courier name, you can apply any tags you wish to your orders based on the same selection criteria. Here's how it works!

1.Tag using date and time of order

This allows you to tag orders by selecting date and time ranges. You can tag using the names of multiple distributer, couriers or delivery people or as mentioned above, any other tag you wish.

1. The 1st step is to select 'Add Distributor' - this will redirect you to a new page where you can add your tags based on the date & time. If this is not your first time using this functionality, this section will display a list of any other tags you've previously applied using the date and time as well as give you an option to delete these

2. Enter the tag or tags you want to be applied to the orders in the text box. When entering multiple tags please separate these by commas.
Please note: While the message encourages you to enter courier, delivery person or distributor names, you can enter any text that you want.

3. Select the date & time range respectively.
Please note: You can also select past dates and apply the tags retrospectively.

4. Save your changes.

2. Tag using Shipping Address

This allows you to tag orders using part of the shipping address such as the zipcode or postcode, street name, city etc. You can tag using the names of multiple distributer, couriers or delivery people or again, cannot stress this enough!, any other tag you wish.

1. The 1st step is to  select 'Add Distributor' - this will redirect you to a new page where you can add your tags based on shipping address. If this is not your first time using this functionality, this section will display a list of any other tags you've previously applied as well as give you an option to delete these.

2.  Enter the tag or tags you want to be applied to the orders in the first, smaller text box. When entering multiple tags please separate these by commas.
Please note: While the message in the message encourages you to enter courier, delivery person or distributor names, you can enter any text that you want.

3. Enter part of the order/shipping address in the second, larger text box. You can apply tags by street name, city, zipcode etc.

4.  Save your changes.

You can view any rules you've created in  Your Store's Rules section of the app. From here, you can always disable rules if you no longer want the tags to be applied or edit them by adding & removing more tags.
